| Both I and my friend had reserved vehicles and I was easily able to cancel my
reservation by phone about a week before I arrived, as we only needed one vehicle.
When we picked up the van I asked if they could remove the back seat, because we
needed it for luggage space, which they did in just a few minutes. Everyone at
National was very courteous and helpful. There was a problem with a rear brake,
which locked up whenever I even touched the brake pedal. I reported this to the
person on duty when we returned the van. I have rented from many different car
rental companies in Costa Rica. I think our experience with National is the best we

Playa Samara, my only negative comment would be that the child seat
was not in very good shape and would not have passed inspection in
North America. Eddie and Jimmy in the Samara office were wonderful
to deal with and when we return next year we'll rent from national

| While in Costa Rica, my husband left his sunglasses in the car when
we returned it. We took a shuttle from the rental office to the San
Jose airport. While we were at the airport, a guy from the rental
company, with copies of our passports in hand, found my husband and
gave him his glasses, telling him he had left them in the car.
Before we could properly thank him he was gone. We were speechless
that he would go to such extremes to return something that we had
left in the car. I wish we knew his name so that we could personnaly

| We choose National because the insurance options were by far the
easiest to understand about what you were truly getting. I was a bit
worried about how we would communicate renting a vehichle as we do
not speak spanish very well. However, the staff at the San Jose
facilty were very helpful and spoke English very well. The car was
in good condition and although a bit small for American standards,
it was able to go on every road that we took it on. Based on this
experience, we would definitely rent from National Costa Rica
